Hair styles for medium length relaxed hair (black women)?
I have shoulder length lightly relaxed hair, and i dont know what to do when its not hot combed. and when i get it wet and brush it back its seems like alot falls out. how do i stop breakage? and what are some cute styles for me?

Try to condition at least weekly. This should help with the breakage. Consider getting layers cut throughout the length of your hair. That way you can wrap and go without to much maintenance.

Should women over 40 wear hair styles for their age group?
I think it depends to a point, on if you look your age, look younger than your age, or if you look older than your age. I've seen some 40 yr. olds that look 50 because of all the sun damage to their skin and they are smokers. I'm going to be 42 this year and people usually think I look 35-36. If you look younger you can get away with styles that are a little trendy. The most important thing is you want a style that will compliment your face shape and features. If you got a style that looks great on you, it doesn't matter what your age is. A 47 year old woman should not wear her hair down to her waist and bleach it blonde! It is just is not something you want to do if you want people to take you seriously!
I am trying to get a classic line to my style that never goes out of style, if you grasp my meaning!
Cover up the upper arms and shoulders, lengthen the skirts and find a hair style that is right for your shape of face that kind of hides your neck a little! I want my kids to like to be seen with me, not feel like I am competing with them.
I just know how her kids feel about what she is looking like these days and well, they don't want to go anywhere with her! I don't want that! I want to look classy, instead of brassy and desperate.
There is no difference in women over 40 than women under 30 as far as hair styles go. Maybe women over age 80 need an appropriate hair style, but that's about it.

A bob is a nice cut low maintenance depending on your face shape etc, I am sorry to hear that you have a sensitivity to hair products, however most people do, although it hits them in there purses, some clients have so many products on there hair ie all silicone based it is untrue, I would suggest that you pick a good salon and have a free consultation, and do not be bullied into any style they may want you to have
It would be my opinion that your hair is in very good condition because you don't use products on it, although you don't say whether it is long , thick thin colour etc, even my salon offers the latest in computer tech , so that you can see any style style on you before any work is done to your hair

How about a bob?
Being an older woman, I find having my hair on the longer side is the best. All summer, it's pulled back or up with a big clip. I let it air dry to keep it healthy and get it trimmed every few months. If I want a special occasion, then I can curl it up and still feel a bit sexy at 60...lol
how abt a low cut, saves u all the stress with long hair
short hair...anytime...less time combing and shampoo...lol
anything that suits the face shape except the Posh Spice hairdo, I think it is terrible looking -looks like someones messed up with scissors.

Claire's Accessories have a lot of holding aids for longer hair, and if it is long don't let anyone tell you to get it cut, if you feel you can look after it then its your choice, not theirs. I have really long hair and if anyone told me to get it cut they would get a right ear full.
