Why is long head hair for women considered attractive, but long body hair is considered unattractive?

Hair is hair, so why don't we treat it all the same?Why is long head hair for women considered attractive, but long body hair is considered unattractive?
In general....the hair of the head is easier to care for. Hair on the head is also used as adornment, and self expression.





Hair on other parts of the body tend to retain the body oils and odors associated with each body part it grows from. Its a given that ones natural body odor/funk is NOT appealing to the majority of people you must socialize with.





To maintain a pleasant odor throughout the day, many people prefer to shave. In doing so....the skin will retain the smells of powders, deodorants and perfumes they prefer to wear. Its a matter of ease and convenience for the owner of the body hair.





Our culture (usa) teaches us that good hygiene practices are admirable qualities. How one grooms their hair is a reflection of their practices.





One might ask.....if he/she doesnt trim....do they even wash ? What else about themselves do they not care about.?





It gives the impression that one is slovenly. Does not care about themselves, or how they present themselves to others.Why is long head hair for women considered attractive, but long body hair is considered unattractive?
u know i wish i knew. sometimes i dont feel like shaving my legs or my armpits...do guys know hom much time this crap actually takes? im so glad im married, and my husband doesnt mind if i take a few days off. its so good. eurapeans dont care...i dont know why the huge fix on body hair. it really sucks
