To the best of my knowledge ammonia isn't used in hair dyes anymore. But I agree with the one answer. Women's dyes are much more natural looking %26amp; easier on the hair leaving it in a better condition. When I worked in a salon we used the same thing for both sexes. Hair is a way the sexes are alike. We all like it thick, natural looking color %26amp; in good condition. Well, I don't think there are alot of hairdyes on the market for men so I would go with a womens hairdye because it does the same thing, also covering grays for older men. I would use Natural Match hair color. It uses no amonia and brightens your hair, and makes it more healthy looking. Another brand that uses no amonia is Just For Men. It is one of the few hairdyes targeted for men. It also claims tocover grays. Hope this helps!
