Hair style/length for muslim women?

My sister-in-law is a muslim and very beautiful (nature and visually).

I would like to understand more, but feel wrong to ask her such questions, and hence hope that Yahoo Answerers can give me (sensible) answers.

When covered with a head-scarf - are their any rules about hair style, length etc- or is it just left to what is sensible and dignified?

Also, which family members can a woman be uncovered in the company of? Of course husband I know, and children I suppose, but is there an age limit? Parents? Parents-in-law?

I would be grateful if you could let me knowHair style/length for muslim women?
Salam Alaikom. The hair of course can be at any length, its not a problem. A veiled Muslimah does not have to be covered infront of her brothers, parents or grandparents. Her hair must be covered infront of other male relatives like her uncles and cousins, though if her cousins have not yet reached puberty she can uncover her hair, and same goes for other young children. Infront of her mother in law, she can also uncover her hair and any other female relatives, but not her father in law. Go ahead and ask your sister in law, she shouldn't have a problem with you asking her, its not offensive or anything. Salam Alaikom :)Hair style/length for muslim women?
I am a Muslim all my life. And yes l do think there are rules about hair style, length etc. The head scarf must all of the hair. So if you have long hair then you or any of the muslim girls need to tie it up.

The only time you need to start to wear head cover is when you know islam and know how to pray then it is allowed to where a head cover. if not it is fin for the for the other girls.
Hair needs to be longer than shoulder length.

No other rules

You see, you can be uncovered next to dad, brothers, other boys that havent reached puberty yet. Any other you gotta cover.

And dont feel embarrassed to ask her. Im sure she wouldnt mind and if she does mind, it's an unislamic behaviour
first off the first person who answered this question is a low life ignorant person to say that when they dont know anything about muslims. when you wear a scarf it doesnt matter how long or how ur hair looks as long as it doesnt show. you can show ur husband, mom, dad, brothers , sisters, grandparents etc and your children no matter what age they are. you can show your hair to ur cousins bt only females so u cant show it many people except the ones i isted and friends and aunts but not men

hope this helped and dont be afraid to ask ur sister in law these questions because im muslim too and dont mind answering so im sure she wont either
aparently they put them dirty cloths on after their first period and it hardy matters what state their hair is in when they wear all that cr@p does it?
