How does society view the hairstyle of long hair? only for women? or for men also?

I love long hair on men. But I happen to be from another generation. It has to be clean and tasteful and natural. Straight hair preferably, but not always.





I think it's sexy. I personally don't care what society thinks. I am not the only one out there that sees long hair on men to be sexy. But only certain men can pull it off.





For instance, Steven Segal...in a pony tail. SEXY! Brad Pit in Interview with a Vampire...SEXY Tom Cruise in Interview with a Vampire...SEXY. These are only examples because they are well known. Imagine many regular guys with the same style. SEXY!

Well for awhile, the long hair was more on musicians...it was connected more with certain life-styles....but I've been noticing more younger guys wearing their hair longer again.





Here in the states it fluctuates, and some jobs require shorter styles...depends on the job situation, etc. Longer hair for guys is sometimes considered a little more ';relaxed'; kind of style...and women love them.





Since our history goes back to the ';tied back'; pony tails in our early history...gues it's in our genes!





Women's styles as a whole go back and forth. You'll see all the models in long hair...then all in short....or on TV, all of them with the same hair style. It can get very boring!How does society view the hairstyle of long hair? only for women? or for men also?
It has become acceptable for both male or females to have long hair.


I have noticed that alot of times girls are getting shorter hair cuts and guys are growing it out.


It is no longer frowned upon for a guy to have somewhat long hair it just another trend in the american society. There no longer just stoners or losers going out there hair there are many different kinds of people from different status classes doing it.

depends on the consistency or your hair, big afros on white guys... not attractive. Long hair has become more popular and it seems to go in and out for guys. Just as long as your hair isn't longer than the girl your dating.. I think it's cool, on some.
long hair on women is very sexy and will probably, for the most part, always be seen as attractive and youthful.





long hair on men is a fad.. I personally don't like long hair on men, unless they can really rock it!
