How long should it take for an African American woman with dreads to wash her hair?

My girlfriend is African American (I'm European American) and she takes over a half an hour to wash her hair and shower. Is this typical? I find it is a problem in the morning when we are getting ready for work. Am I wrong? Please help me - especially the ladies. Is this correct? Can't a person take a shower and wash her hair in fifteen minutes or less? she is now on her way to blow dry her hair so you probably have an hour or so to answer the question. You didn't say how long or how think her hair is, that could make a huge difference.


Generally, Americans like to be clean and bathe everyday... As opposed to some English and Swedish people I've met, who barely bathe once a week...





Anyway, I could expect it to take quite some time to wash dreads only, not including cleaning the rest of the body.
