yes!!!! when i was young we had a neighbor lady that was in a wheelchair and her hair was very long, i still remember braiding her hair for her and listing to her story's, a very fond memory.Is is OK for women after 40 to have long hair?

it depends how long. shoulder length is perfectly appropriate, but anything longer than that might be not a great idea.

I think they all have or have had long hair recently.
If it works for you than why not, its your choice, but have watch a lot of make over show like What Not To Wear?, Ten Years Younger, etc... and they say that it makes an older women look even older and a short or medium size cut will help you to achieve the younger look that you want, without you looking like you are trying to hard. Preferably, nothing pass the shoulders
