Is it natural for Chinese women to have really long facial hair appear overnight? Can you stop it?

So my girlfriend is half-Chinese and over the past year or so twice she has had 2-3 inch long blond hairs grow on her face overnight. The first time I noticed it and at first I thought she just had a hair on her face but when i tried to brush it off I found out IT WAS ATTACHED!!! She didn't believe me until today she found another one that suddenly appeared and definitely was not there the day before. I looked all over the internet and couldn't find anything on it but I have noticed elderly Asian women with extremely long hairs on their faces before so I assumed it may be a genetic thing. I was really wondering if someone knew what may cause this and if there is a way I can prevent it in the future. She is a very beautiful girl and I may want to spend the rest of my life with her but I fear I may not be able to if this keeps happening. She's been lucky so far that only we have noticed it but I'm afraid now that somebody else will see it before she does.
