do you ever have anyone just come up to you and touch your hair without permission? do people ever get surprised that your long hair is real? and does anyone ever deny that your hair is real?
i'm asking these cuz some people can be very ignorant these days. i know tons of black girls who have long hair, even down to their waist. and it's theirs. even me.
i'm a young black female. i'm not racist at all. i'm just curious on how you get treated for having your long REAL hair.
thanksQuestions for black women with long hair?
This happens to my best friend all the time. It p!sses her off a lot. She wants to get a t-shirt made that says, ';Yes, this is my real hair. No, I will not do yours.'; Because people are always asking if she could do their hair.
She mostly gets asked if it's her real hair by other black women. Or she'll get the occasional, ';What are you mixed with?'; I'm half black but I don't get asked about the authenticity of my hair.
I wish she would understand that when people ask her they're just amazed. I don't think they're trying to be rude (on purpose). Not everyone can grow hair down to their waist. White, black or Hispanic....Questions for black women with long hair?
Yes, people have done that, but they're my friends.I'm not sure if they are surprised or not. They are always curious if it's my real hair or not. No, nobody has ever denied that my hair isn't my real hair. I have worn hair weaves before, and people believed that it was real (just a little side note there). Normally, I either wear mirco braids or an afro. When I wear an afro, that gets more attention than if I wear my hair straight. I guess its because when my hair is in an afro it is extremely huge. When I say large, I'm not exaggerating haha. Anyway, when my hair is straight, it's down to my shoulders. People tell me how soft and silky it is. Regardless of how my hair is, people touch it no matter what.
sometimes
that's happened to me a few times and I looked at those ppl like they had 10 ten heads because they sounded soooo stupid.
I mean really ppl out there are so dumb they think that all black women have short nappy hair and that you would have to be mixed with something to actually have long hair
then they automatically assume that it's weave
I pull on it to show them that it is 100% mine
when my hair is curly its at my shoulders
and when it's straightened its longer
Yes, it happens to me all the time. People will ask if that's my hair or a weave. I use to get offended, but now I ignore it. I guess they can't accept the fact that yes, just as many black women that have short hair, there's just as many with long. My whole immediate family has long pretty hair.
