What are some long hair styles for older women?

I am almost 50, eeeewww, and I have medium to dark brown hair almost to my waist. I want to keep my long hair, and soemtimes I wear it down and sometimes I will pull the top and side into a pony tail or braid. Any suggestions for a different style that's easy to do? My hair is medium thick and silky and it will not curl. What are some long hair styles for older women?
Here's a photo of a long hair style w/ subtle face framing layers: http://www.matrix.com/find_your_hair_sty

This cut would add some dimension %26amp; interest w/o being too radical a change.

As for other ways to wear your hair:

You can also loosely braid your hair, twist it into a bun %26amp; secure it w/ bobby pins. Be sure to keep it loose %26amp; easy w/ a few wisps to avoid looking matronly.

You can add a touch of sophistication to a pony tail by wearing it a bit lower %26amp; wrapping a section of hair around the elastic to conceal it.What are some long hair styles for older women?
I would discuss it with your hairdresser first. My next suggestion is cut some of the length and add layers. 50 is not the age for long, one length hair.

GOOD LUCK
if it cant curl then you dont have much to do with it.........

try french braids or cut it in a new way?
try getting some layers that frame your face nicely. you could also ask a hairdresser for some advice on some easy styling tips that would look good on you.
cut it to your shoulders, trust me, my mom did. and then straighten it completely flat every morning. even tho you want to keep your hair, short hair is better on older women
cut it about 5 inches below your shoulders and get layers
