Why is it so important or fascinating for women to have long hair?

This boggles my mind really. I have short hair and I love it. Most men hate it. I am almost 30 and believe me my hair is not the way it was when I was a teen. Most women would look a lot better with shorter hair. I see 45 year old women with damaged, fried, stringy long hair that needs to be cut. My boyfriend is one of the few men who like short hair, every other man likes hair long. What is so great about it if it is damaged, fried and stringy? Why do men like long hair?Why is it so important or fascinating for women to have long hair?
Hi! Let me try to answer you logically first and then I will give illogical answer.





In civilized world (Here I am excluding radically fundamentalist countries) woman generally do not hide her 2 assets. One is face and another obvious is hair. Just imagine a bald woman, sounds absurd no! Hair complements facial beauty. Also long well maintained hair are rare, so obviously they deserve attention. Scientifically it is proved that men get attracted towards woman with a good physique, beautiful face and long hair. I think these are some rational explanations. Now let's touch upon fantasies. Hair has seducing powers. Especially long wet hair also oiled hair with sheen, a thick braid or a tight bun garnished with flowers or a topknot. Men tend to get attracted looking at the sight of such hair. Men like to play with the hair, smell it, Caresse it, message with oil, comb it, it is a important part of sexual relationship between male and female. Hair arouses the senses. Generally woman sporting long hair look more attractive. Of course this is my personal opinion and one can differ.Why is it so important or fascinating for women to have long hair?
I have seen women with long hair and sound them attractive. When I have next seen them, they have cut their hair short and instead of looking like an attractive women, they look like a frail boy.





I suppose that is it really, women with short hair often look like boys and most of us hetero men are not attracted to boys.
I have no idea what's behind that tradition actually. Though in the past, a lot of men had long hair as well.





I never noticed men liking long hair more than normal, some are into it but surprisingly I've heard a lot of men say they find a short cut attractive, to see the face more. Lots of women these days have short hair, the majority over 40 do.

who cares if a guy likes long wavey hair? its not like he would be with you because of that really, he should like you for other things unless hes just a jerk.
I don't mind short hair, not like a buzz cut or anything, but long hair isn't bad, I guess it depend on the way the girl looks and/or wears her hair. I personally have long hair, for a guy anyway.
They probably just like the length, the fact that its damaged, fried, or stringy doesn't mean anything to men.
its actually in their blood/genes to find long hair attractive. Its not their faults
